Dealt with a few fires at work with the Louisiana Housing Conference. (www.louisiana-housing.org) But I got to work till 7 which makes up for hours I was late for this week, so its all good.
Procrastinated on doing work for my group project in banking, finally starting now 4 days after I should have.
No costume for Halloween this year, just kinda out of it and not caring about it. Oh well. Still doing trick or treating for canned goods tomorrow (well, now) tonight. I will be a back-end worker I guess. With the Auburn trip and midterms it just snuck up too fast on me to care. I'm sure there will be candy waiting for me at home anyway.
Speaking of which...
FINALLY.... THE SEAN IS COMING BACK TO NEW ORLEANS!
I was coming home for Country Day's homecoming but Lutheran High has too many injuries to field a team so they had to forfeit the game. Have some balls, Lutheran, put your cheerleaders in, they're tougher than your team anyway. Sad thing is, I don't think this is the first time Lutheran's done this! Anyway, meeting up with highschool friends is pretty much shot to hell now so aside from some stuff at home (never got to go home for my birthday) I'm free Friday night and Saturday as far as I know. If anyone wants to do anything call me at 467-2505, but wait for me to get home on Friday afternoon or IM me at SeanMcD98 sometime. Aside from Halloween night when I'm out doing CKI stuff, if I'm not sleeping I'll be online at work between now and when I leave for home.

I just lost the ability to sit in my own office.
My professor had a student come in to make up a midterm.
I gave up my desk so she could take it in one of the offices instead of in the main office that has heavy traffic.
I went out to the outside computer where the other student workers work and worked on that computer. Then another student came. She ended up at the desk out there which was fine as long as I didn't need to answer the phone.
Then ANOTHER student came. I had to move some furniture around to make room for her to take the test in that other office.
When I got back, a student worker that has only been here a few months was at the outside computer and I was left chairless.
I'm now downstairs in a lab writing this since there's no where for me to even sit in my office right now, let alone work.
I'm not enough of an asshole to tell the guy that's only been her a few months to get up because the guy that's been here 5 years wants to sit (I really wasn't in the middle of actual work. Just wasting time between getting work from professors)
The kicker is my professor has class at 3, will have a pile of last minute stuff for me to do and all three of the test takers will be here until, you guessed it, 3.
I also won't be able to do any of the work in the office because everything he has for me is related to the midterm they are taking right now so they can't see any of what he needs me to do.
If I didn't need the money I'd be posting from home instead of a computer lab (luckily while still on the clock).
Sure is fun being woken up by a transformer blowing at 4:45 AM. Luckily it wasn't ours. A huge storm came through Baton Rouge this morning, knocking out power all over and leaving some streets flooded. All seems to be OK as far as I know.
The WWE managed to not piss me off beyond belief last night by announcing that at their next Pay Per View they will be having a 6-way match that combines the Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and the old WCW favorite WARGAMES. The participants will be Triple H, Kane, Chris Jericho, Booker T, Rob Van Dam, and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Sounds like an awesome match though they haven't revealed how exactly it will work yet. They only have 3 weeks to figure out a way to fuck it up.
Yes, for those keeping track, that was the first f-bomb dropped in the history of this blog.
Just got out of my Sports Law test. Was expecting short answer, but got 40 true/false questions instead. And they were those annoying everything is true except one word true/false questions.
One last thing, just found this when I got back to work, its a pretty cool litle quiz. Maybe I'm just saying that because of the outcome I got.

Cox Cable in Baton Rouge just added a new channel "Cox Sports" that will play LSU, Tulane, ULL, La Tech, etc games and carry ESPN Class/News at other times. It's Channel 38 in the 7 parish Baton Rouge viewing area.
The first thing I see on the channel? LSU vs. Florida 1997. aka The Night the Goalposts Came Down. Only wish I had been at the game and not working at the convenience store that night.

Right now there are two teams in the west that could win the west should we lose another game. Auburn and Ole Miss.
Georgia has two more games against SECW opponents. Auburn and Ole Miss.
If they both lose a game, we would need to lose 2 more games to not win the west (Bama can't win it). One of them will pick up that one loss this week when they face each other.
Here's how it breaks down by conference record
LSU 3-1 Driver's seat now, but one more loss could hurt. One loss would mean the winner of AU/hOMo needs to lose one more time. If Ole Miss wins this week, the hOMo game is a MUST WIN for LSU
Alabama 3-1 Can't win due to NCAA penalties but can be a thorn by beating LSU.
Auburn 3-2 Needs to win out and have LSU lose one game
Ole Miss 2-2 Needs to win out (includes beating LSU AND Auburn)
Arkansas 2-3 The Hogs already hold tiebreakers over Ole Miss and Auburn. They need to win out (including beating LSU), have Ole Miss and Auburn lose once, and LSU lose to someone else before the LSU/Ark game.
Mississippi State 0-3 Need to win out in SEC (vs. Kentucky, @ Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, @hOMo), have Auburn lose 2 and LSU lose 3 (beating Ole Miss will give them the tiebreaker between two 3-loss teams there).
LSU and Ole Miss are the only SEC West teams that control their own destiny at this point. That destiny will be revealed on November 23.
With the way things have been going this year, LSU needs insurance. Players have been dropping to injuries or other problems, and it ain't going to get any easier from here.
We need to cheer UGA on against whoever wins that AU/hOMo game to give us that insurance and help us to the SEC West Championship.
Then we can thank them personally in the Georgia Dome by helping them with their predicted choke (if Florida, hOMo, Auburn or Georgia Tech don't beat us to it)

Please excuse the mess as I play around with templates over the next few days. The default ones suck and alot of what I need to improve what I have is at home. Oh, and I have a Sports Law test tomorrow so I won't have much time to fix things up tonight.
After getting back from Brusly with an 85,000 seat stadium (aka Auburn, AL), I went on an LSU message board and saw a massive meltdown. It's over, LSU is doomed, its all over. POULON WEEDEATER BOWL HERE WE COME!
Well, not so. We're still in first place in the west and in the driver's seat. We win out, we win the SEC West and play the SEC East Champion for a shot at the Sugar Bowl.
I wrote a very long post analyzing why we're still in good shape despite the loss to Auburn.
Well, it's posted on a pay message board none of my friends can see. Its tigerroar.com. For $32 a year you can post and read on their board The Tiger's Lair, which if you've been wondering how I get all my LSU info, that's it. There's other perks too, but I won't get into them here. I'm satisfied with my return on that $32 and I just paid it in September.
Anyway, I wanted to show this to some people, but couldn't so I cut and pasted it to Word. When I get home tonight after my Sports Marketing class, I will copy and paste it back here for everyone to see.
That was the original spark to start this thing, but I will not limit myself to LSU Sports (though there will be alot of that). The WWE's been finding ways to piss me off on a weekly basis, so I'll be writing about that. Also, look for school, Circle K, political (those two next to each other, who would have thought it?), and all sorts of other types of fun aggravation here.
Also, I have a lot of free time at work so I'll probably have a lot of completely random posts and thoughts during the day.
