Now i've heard and made some definite conversation killers in my day, but nothing like I heard tonight. This comes courtesy of one Courtney Robicheaux of LSU Circle K:
"I'd rather be a prostitute than a crack dealer so I could clean my crack and sell it again"
Everyone was out of Jason's Deli about a minute after that!
In other news, I'm now loaded down in work well past my birthday and might not be able to go to Tioga.
I never got to post it, but my prediction going in was 17-14 LSU. I was close!
Also, I took a whole bunch of pictures this weekend of Gameday, the Best Damn Sports Show Period, and inside the stadium. Check them out here.

OK back to normal. I just felt like doing something for Sept 11, so just changed things up here a little. However, it got close to LSU gameday, and so having Ole Miss colors up here was not an option.
Don't have time to do my full write up on football this week, so I'll just sum up last week like this.
Ole Miss: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Auburn: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Arizona: At least pretend like you'll put up a fight.
OK onto this weeks games:
Arkansas @ Texas: The old SWC rivalry. Texass should win this one. Roy Williams should have no problem with Arkansas' secondary.
Auburn @ Vanderbilt: The big question in this game is not what everyone thought it would be (how badly will AU destroy Vandy) but instead is Will Auburn score a touchdown? I'll say they finally score a TD, but they lose a close game to Vandy. Hell, Auburn is the SEC representative in ESPN.com's Bottom Ten. That's been reserved for Vandy and Kentucky for YEARS.
South Carolina @ Georgia: UGA should win this one setting up LSU vs. UGA as two top ten teams (and the game of the week) next week.
Florida A&M @ Florida: In wrestling, I'd say "Job Squad: Pin Me, Pay Me"
UL-Monroe @ Ole Miss: Ole Miss will win but it will be a lot closer than anyone in Oxford is comfortable with.
Kentucky @ Alabama: If it weren't for Kentucky's head coach thinking that Jared Lorenzen should be running the option and lining up at WR, I'd say Kentucky could shock Alabama with an upset. Unfortunately, the guy's a moron so the Tide should win this one.
Western Illinois @ LSU: Not as bad as it sounds. Western Illinois is the #1 team in 1-AA. On the other hand, McNeese State was #1 last week until Kansas State beat them 55-14 or soemthing. LSU should win this one, but I don't think its going to be as easy as Arizona was.
Mississippi State @ Tulane: Tulane has more SEC Championships than State and they haven't been in the conference in 30 years. CUSA should continue its arguement for inclusion in the BCS (and I'm starting to think they should replace the Big East) with this game.
Tennessee has the week off. With Fulmer not having to coach and a certain Kiwanian tailgating, Krispy Kreme should see a big spike in sales tomorrow!
Other games of interest:
Notre Dame @ Michigan: Nothing would make me happier than to hear that ND loses this game, well except for Auburn losing to Vandy maybe. I'm thinking Michigan wins this one.
NC State @ Ohio State: I'm looking for NC State to get the upset win here, OSU has not looked impressive this year, and they're going to look even less impressive when the NCAA hammer comes falling on them.
Memphis @ Southern Miss: If Memphis wins, they have a shot at winning the Mississippi State Championship this year (they play MSU later in the season). If USM wins, they get to rag Ole Miss fans on it. I hope USM wins just for that reason, but I think its going to be Memphis that wins it.
Sean's Bitchslap Game of the Week:
I had trouble finding one for this week, its a tough choice. Most of the teams I don't like have already been humiliated at least once this year. I'll go with Auburn @ Vandy just for the look on Tubby's face if they manage to lose this one. He'll make Macovick look like Einstein with the brook trout look he'll have.
Over on Tigerroar's Tiger Alley (political/non LSU) message board, we've starting posting where we were on Sept 11. I thought I'd post mine here (plus added some more stuff not on the Alley).
I woke up and missread the clock thinking I had overslept. I rushed, got dressed jumped in the car to get to ECON class late. If I turned on the TV, I probably had it on Comedy Central or Cartoon Network, not the news. It turns out it was about 8:40 when I was driving to campus (I actually had a 9:30 class) and I heard on the radio (X104 probably) around LSU Avenue and Highland, "We'll have an update on the situation in New York City soon". I figured it was nothing and was out of the car before the update came. I sat through class, realized it wasn't my class but the section before, felt like a moron. Then when Dr. C started my section he said "I know its a tough morning with everything in New York and Washington, but lets try to get through this little bit of material". I had no idea yet what he was talking about, someone in class told me there was a bombing at the Pentagon and at the World Trade Center. When I got out of class (9:30 or so), I ran to my office (class and office were in CEBA) and got on CNN.com where I saw it all. Then I saw pictures of the WTC coming down. We had no TV in the office, so I just kept hitting reload on CNN, Drudge, and the Alley from 10:00 till 3:00. When my 3:00 class was cancelled I finally went home and saw the video of everything for the first time.
While this was going on, my dad was in the hospital and had just gotten out of ICU a few days earlier. They got him out of bed, and he walked a little. Then he sat up in a rocking chair for a while when this came on the TV. That was the last time he ever got out of the hospital bed.
Later in the week when the SEC said we'll play, then decided not to, we decided to say "Fuck Osama" and we went and tailgated at Highland Road Park that Saturday. Someone heard from their parents that the news had said that payback would begin that night. I invited people over to watch the news as the bombs dropped, but they never did. Much drinking ensued. I won't say what happened due to that, but some people have since sworn off of Tequila.
Eli throws 2 interceptions in the forth quarter to give Memphis its first win over an SEC team since 1996 when they beat Peyton Manning and Tennessee Offensive Coordinater David Cutcliffe. Bama got beat by Oklahoma (though not the ass whooping I thought it would be). It took about 100 minutes of football for Auburn to score its first points of the year. They're out of the Top 25 faster than Ole Miss in November!
Plus there were two big blowouts that made me very happy.
LSU 59 Arizona 13. This game was total dominance. Zona's first score should not have counted (it was a fumble recovery TD but the RB was down by contact when the ball popped out) and the second score was against our 3rd string defense (one of our running backs was playing safety). LSU totally dominated Zona, the first string defense gave up no points. LSU's fans dominated Zona's fans and over at the apartment we were literally LAUGHING at some of the LSU touchdowns towards the end of the first half because of the way Zona was already just giving up. UL Monroe played with more heart than these guys.
Country Day 42 Ben Franklin 0. This I couldn't believe, I just read it on WWL.com. We have a new coach this year and it looks like he might have decided to open up the play book (we had two TDs through the air last week in the Jamboree). If CD keeps playing like this, I might have to go back to Old Metairie to see some games this year.

Hey, I'm doing another Football preview post! Its weekly!
First off, we'll be watching the LSU game at my apartment. It's at 9 PM Saturday, feel free to come early if you want to watch the OU/Bama game. BYOB and snacks.
Last week, was interesting in the SEC. Bama managed to find itself after being down 17-0 to South Florida. South Carolina embarrassed the conference in its pitiful 14-7 win over the USL Lafayette @ the corner of Johnson and University Streets Cajuns. USC smacked around Auburn and held the most talented RB corps in the nation (my ass) to somewhere around 75 yeards. Georgia proved me and a bunch of others wrong when the Dawgs skulldrug Clemson through wanna-be-Death Valley. Ole Miss had to use almost every trick in their playbook to narrowly escape Vandy with a win. After the worst rain I've seen since the May 8 floods in New Orleans, LSU beat Louisiana (they beat their satelite school in Lafayette last year to earn the name!) 49-7.
In in-state news, Miami kicked the crap out of LaTech and SLU won their first game in 18 years at Strawberry Stadium in what turned out to be a pretty good game. Last night they beat Lambuth to improve their record to 2-0. Pretty good start for the Lions. Depending on work and LSU's schedule I might try to go out to see the SLU/McNeese game later this year. Tulane put a 1 in the Moral Victory column.
Onto this week's games:
#1 Oklahoma @ Alabama: A lot of times in games that should be blowouts, the question is how long until the backup QB gets in the game. With Stoops coaching the Sooners, the better question might be how long until the second-string defense is in.
Arkansas vs. Tulsa: I misread and thought this was last week. I'm just keeping what I said then: Arkansas should win this, even with a few first-game jitters.
#17 Auburn @ Georgia Tech: If Auburn can't bounce back for "the South's Oldest Rivalry", they're out of the Top 25 faster than LSU in 1998 or Bama in 2000. Hard to tell what they'll do after last week, but I think Big Ears will have his team ready to win this one.
#21 Florida @ #3 Miami: Part of me really doesn't like Florida. Part of me really doesn't like Brock Berlin. I'll pull for the SEC and hope Florida leaves him as a stain on the grass, but I doubt it'll happen. FireRonZook.com's hitcound should be big tomorrow night.
#8 Georgia vs. Middle Tennessee: I'm guessing this is the school formerly known as MTSU. Georgia should destroy them.
Kentucky vs. Murray State: Kentucky faces an in-state rival they can handle (maybe). I want to say Kentucky should win big, but when the head coach is putting Jarred "Beefcake" Lorenzen at Wide Reciever, something's got to be wrong with him. Murray State plays UK closer than they should, but I think UK gets out of here with a win.
#13 LSU @ Arizona: Arizona tailgating rules: No tailgating more than 5 hours before the game starts. All vehicles must be off campus within 1 hour of the end of the game. NO HARD LIQUOR. What is this, Oxford, MS??? Arizona didn't have enough linemen to play full scrimages during fall camp. LSU won;t be spending most of the game practicing the spread like they did last week. LSU will win.
Ole Miss @ Memphis: Sadly, Memphis is a step up from Vandy, but I think Ole Miss will win another nailbiter.
Mississippi State vs. Open: Its MSU and Jackie Sheril is their coach. Open by a fieldgoal.
South Carolina vs. Virginia: Lou Holtz said this week his team sucks and they shouldn't bother to even play this game. My Holtz to English dictionary says that means Cocks by 10.
#12 Tennessee vs. Marshall: Marshall didn't back out of this game too? (they cancelled coming to LSU this summer, so we get Western Illinois next week). Vols will win.
Vandy vs. Tennessee Chatanooga: This might be Vandy's one shot at a home win this year. I think they get it.
Now onto other games of interest: -
La Tech @ USL Lafayette: LaTech wins and USL Lafayette falls to third in the football pecking order of the UL System.
Northwestern State vs. Tulane @ Tad Gormley Stadium: Tulane should win, if their game with TCU is any indication. The big question is if this game will outdraw the Carver/St Aug game tonight.
Navy @ #25 TCU: On Monday, TCU faced a pretty open Tulane offense. Tomorrow, they face Navy's wishbone. That's a pretty big change on defense in 4 days, will be interesting to see how they handle it.
Sean's bitchslap game of the week:
#1 Oklahoma @ Alabama: This one won't be pretty folks. BOOMER SOONER!
